A long time ago I had a vision of creating a fantasy baseball blog where fanatics such as myself would come to find valuable and relevant content and they’d tell two friends and they’d tell two friends and so on. Sadly, that never happened. But what did happen has lead me to this place, at this time and I couldn’t be happier with what’s about to take place here.
My name is Daniel Aubain and I am the co-founder of Full Spectrum Baseball. Some of you may be familiar with my work on Colorado Springs Fantasy Baseball Addict or COSFBA or whatever you want to call it. It doesn’t matter because that site and the journey I took with putting words to the virtual pages has lead me to a brand new venture. One I always dreamed possible but would have never accomplished on my own. Enter Bill Ivie, Jr.
Bill, the other co-founder of this site, offered to take my vision of the ultimate fantasy baseball blog and mix it in with his seemingly limitless amount of knowledge and contacts within the sport we both dearly love to produce a product we are both passionate about sharing with anyone willing to listen.
My contribution to this site will mainly be fantasy baseball-related but not exclusively. Like most lovers of the game of baseball, I am at heart a fan of a specific team. I’ll hold off on revealing it publicly because most people familiar with my writing know my “fandom” views are rarely reflected in my support and/or criticisms of the teams and players I cover.
As far as content you can definitely count on seeing from me, I love to find the hidden gem sitting out there on waivers and trolling through the daily box scores looking for the best “line of the day” as it relates to fantasy baseball and will even toss in an opinion piece every now and then about the real game on the field.
My writing in the months of February and March may be less frequent than I had originally hoped due to the arrival of my fourth child, a beautiful baby girl named Zoey, to go along with my three incredibly energetic sons. That makes four kids all under the age of eight. Wowzers! But have no fear. I’ll be a daily writer once things slow down and sleep becomes part of my nightly routine again.
So with all that, I present to you my first article on Full Spectrum Baseball. I’m very active on Twitter with @DJAubain talking mostly about baseball, but not exclusively, with a certain level of snark my followers have come to expect and appreciate. So follow along. I promise this is going to be an amazing ride.
